Chick lit is dead: long live clit lit. At least that is impression given by recent lurid headlines about sexually explicit books by women flooding the nation’s bookshops. The Bride Stripped Bare, Brass, The Sexual Life of Catherine M and the hunt for "prostitute" blogger Belle du Jour followed by an expensive auction for her book all got Fleet Street’s predominantly male hacks hot under the collar. It seems that when it comes to raunchy, sisters are writing it for themselves.
